FAQ'S

  • What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Friday 7AM-6PM.

 

  • What age children do you accept?

We accept children ages 1-6 for our Montessori children's house.

  • Is outdoor playtime available?

Our school has two separate outdoor play areas for age appropriate play areas. The children have scheduled times in the morning and the afternoon to explore their outside world. As an added safety feature, our school has a six-foot fence surrounding the outside perimeter of the play areas.

Early Steps Montessori follows the federal regulations on safety equipment and the surrounding fall zones, also in accordance with Hillsborough County Licensing.

 

  • Are  snacks provided?

     Please inquiry for our school snack and Food Share Program.

 

  • Is your staff trained?

Our teachers are Montessori trained through accredited programs recognized by MACTE.

All our teachers are trained in First Aid/CPR and updated annually, Infectious Disease Control, Injury Prevention, and Child Abuse Awareness.

 

  • How can I obtain more information about enrolling my child?

  • Are background investigations performed on  the staff? If so, how frequently?

Yes, all members of our staff are required to submit to a level 2-background check. This investigation includes reports from Hillsborough County, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and nationally through the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In addition, we require background fingerprinting for all our staff annually.

 

  • What does my child need to bring to school?

Please inquire within upon enrollment for a checklist supplies needed.
